In November 2007 the Joint Board of Scottish Arts Council and Scottish Screen appointed Anne Bonnar as Transition Director to lead the transition to Creative Scotland and to:

  • shape the new organisation, Creative Scotland
  • produce a plan for Creative Scotland
  • design and implement a plan for change including the transition from the current organisations to the future creation of Creative Scotland.

There is a small core Transition Team to support the project and the Transition Director reports to the Board through the Task Force.

This team is based at White Space. The Transition Project’s work is phased.

We have been asking these questions of others and ourselves. We have commissioned research and analysis from international experts. We are running a series of think tanks to consider aspects of these important questions.

Mapping the current activities, systems and resources of the Scottish Arts Council and Scottish Screen,

Creative Scotland will inherit the staff and resources of the Scottish Arts Council and Scottish Screen. Cross organisational teams are working now on the first phase of a mapping exercise to scope the current activities and systems.
